Luke Beesley: On Studying the Traditional Form




Actually it was winter and I propped it
on the taps curled near the sill

and stood in the garden to read it
where the sun fell and it was warm.


 
Luke Beesley writes poetry and short fiction, and his work has been published widely in Australian newspapers and literary journals including 'The Australian Book Review', 'The Australian' & 'Southerly'. In 2004/2005 a suite of his poems will appear on the Brisbane City Council rates notice envelope, a public art commission from Brisbane Water. He is currently studying for an M.Phil (Creative Writing) at the University of Queensland. He lives in Brisbane.
